This is probably my favorite image out of all of the landscape shots. I really love how the sun goes through the leaves and makes them light up. I took this picture by putting the leaves right in front of the sun. I tried a couple of times and the sun just overpowered my cameras and it was really just a white picture. I finally got the angle just right and the result was amazing. This is by far the best painting I made. I really think the painting really brings out the image.
I got this shot of deer in a place I didn't expect. I was rushing on my bike to get to a place where deer usally hang out. I happened to glance as I was biking and these three deer were out in a field. I braked hard and the deer almost ran away. I had to move very slowly so that they didn't bolt. Eventually they settled down and I got some great pictures. When deers don't know whats going on they freeze and look in the direction of the sound. Thats why they are looking directly at the camera. I wanted to show wildlife and how you can find the coolest things in the most boring places. I again used a telephoto lens that is how I was able to get such a close pictures. In reality they were pretty far away.
This field used to be an corn field however the corn is long dead. I really like how the sun is setting over the field and gives it a certain lighting. I don't thin that the field would have looked nearly as good as if I photographed in the middle of the day. I really wanted to convey a feeling of vastness. The field seems to go on forever even though in reality it isn't that big. It was hard to get some of these shots because right behind the field is a bunch of high tension power lines. So I had to make sure that the power lines weren't in the shot.
This was one of the coolest images that I took. I had stopped on the side of the road to take a picture of a chipmunk on a log. The chipmunk ran away but I decided to stay in the area. After awhile I began to here a chirping noise. It was a constant chirping and it sounded close by and I began to track it. I finally found the source of the sound. A squirrel was in a tree holding onto a nut and chirping at me aggressively. I took a few pictures of it and it ran away up the tree thats when I got the picture "Up the Tree". I think this image shows the beauty of wildlife and if you look closer you can see things that others wouldn't. I didn't have any struggles with this image and the use of a telephoto lens made it easy to get a close up shot.
I took this image on the side of a back country dirt road. I really loved how the trunks of the trees grew out at an angle over the road. I took a picture from the bottom of the trunk looking up. I wanted to convey a message of beauty and grandeur. Through taking these pictures I took many closer up to object of the photo however, I wanted on that really showed how amazing things don't just come in small packages. For something to pretty it doesn't have to be small. This picture was hard to take because there were some power lines right behind these trees and to lean back at a awkward angle to get these shots. However, I think it was worth and the shots turned out great.
