The objects in the still lifes pictured above are spools of different colored thread. I really think that all of the different colors of the thread brings out life in these images. I also think that using filters really improved some of these images. The Circle was just plain and boring before the filter was added. Now with the filter it looks cool and intriguing. The variety of colors to me represents the difference of our world and how colorful it can be if we just stop and look.

The objects in the still life above are a lego star wars tank, a storm trooper, a basic lego minifigure, and a metal motel corvette. I set up this still life with the idea of the tank blasting the guy in the car. That picture however didn't turn out well. You don't get to see the full story line in these shots. The missing one is the yellow guy standing on his car flipped upside down with his arms in the air. This is the shot that progresses them from being all friendly to fighting each other. I used a couple of sheets of paper for the background placing the tank as kind of also a background. I thought this was a funny and cool series of still lifes that really tells a story.
The objects in the still life are obviously different colored dice. I used white paper for the bottom and I used a mini trifold as the background. Some of these images were created by using the flash of the camera to make the background perfectly white. I really like how the different colors of the dice contrast with the white background. If you look at the numbers facing on the dice you can tell that they were arranged with purpose expect roll'em where I just rolled them and took a picture.
The objects pictured above are Russian dolls. They all fit inside of each other. I set up each still life based on this idea. Showing how different but similar the dolls are. I really think the colored pencil filter looks good the picture different dolls. I think it shows that somethings have more hidden inside in of them then one would think.
All the objects in these pictures are either clocks, alarm clock, a watch, and my phone. I started with the idea of using different things that told time. I had the idea of the title evolution of time. I thought compiling all of these objects would not only look good but hint at a deeper meaning. I set the two big clocks together in almost every image and I mostly focused on the smallest object in the picture which was the watch. I wanted to show how we tell the time has changed over the years from big wall clocks to watches and phones.
