The pictures above are of a miniature TIE fighter from Star Wars. As a younger kid and still to this day I love Star Wars. This object really shows my love for the movies and how they have changed my life and me as a person. I really wanted to include something to represent Star Wars and there is nothing more iconic about the Star Wars series then the TIE fighter. It has two hexagon shaped wings connected by two cylinders with a circle in the middle. I photographed this objects in the middle of the day in order to get optimal lighting. I had my brother hang it from a string when I took the picture. Then I switched the white background for a space one to reflect the Star Wars theme. I feel like it turned out really good and you can't tell it was hanging. This picture took multiple takes because the model would rotate when it was hung from the string so I had to wait for it to get right where I wanted it and then snap a picture. The other picture was just a TIE fighter taken standing up and I added a pixel filter nothing to impressive unlike the last one.
The object pictured above is a basic xbox controller. I am a pretty avid gamer and gaming is what I do during most of my freetime. The controller really shows my love for gamer and how much it affects my life. This is evident in my controller which I have put a skin on it. A skin is basically a sticker, the skin I put on my controller is of my favorite soccer team chelsea FC. As with all of the images I took this picture in the middle of the day in order to get optimal lighting. In the picture titled jeweled controller I used a crystalize filter which gives the controller a kind of blurred look. I also made the blue of the controller a bit lighter so it shows up in the image. As opposed to dramatic gamer where I dulled all of the colors. I had some struggles photographing this controller because it is a weird shape I had to take many pictures from many different angles before I would the one that worked the best.
The object pictured above is a miniature soccer ball. Soccer has been a huge part of my life I started playing when I was three years old and I haven't looked back. I have never played a sport at the competitive level besides soccer. Its kind of my life. The soccer ball pictured is a size one and is considerably smaller then a normal soccer ball. While being small it still has all of the markings and the same hexagonal panels as a regular soccer ball. As with most images here I took it in the middle of the day in order to get the best lighting possible. On the picture mosaic soccer I used a filter that kind of turned the soccer ball into triangles. I think it looks really good and hides all of the blemishes and bad parts of the ball. Taking the picture GOAL was difficult because the ball is so small it was hard to get the soccer ball and the goal net. However, I finally succeeded and I think it turned out great.
The object pictured above is obviously an eight ball. This is the first and only eightball I have had. I started playing pool pretty recently and a few months back got a pool table for my basement. This is the eightball that came with the table. I took it from my pool table down stairs which is pictured in the photo "Final Shot". The one I took on the pool table was using some natural lighting and some from a LED light on the ceiling. I was able to edit out any hints that there was an LED light. In the other picture I used a filter to kind of make it look like it was drawn when it actually was a picture. I took Eight Ball drawing under natural light. These images where fairly easy to take. The only trouble I had was in "Final Shot" I had to make it so the camera got the pocket of the pool table but nothing else. It was difficult but I manage and I really like how it turned out in the end.
The object above is a scarf. Specifically a scarf of Chelsea FC my favorite soccer team. I have been following the team sense third grade and I have come to love the team and its players. Out of all of the Chelsea merch that I have the scarf is my favorite. Its warm and looks super cool with all the ways it can be worn. It reminds of the team I love so much. It is same soccer team as pictured on the xbox controller. The scarf has two sides a white and a blue side. On the white side it says Chelsea FC in blue letters as pictured in "Go Chelsea" it is the opposite on the blue side. I photographed this scarf because I love Chelsea FC. Again I took it in broad daylight to make look the best. On the Chelsea Fc scarf picture I put a line filter on it to make it look more rough and hide some background elements. I really struggled with Go Chelsea for awhile because I couldn't fit the scarf in my frame without getting some trees in the way. I ended up editing out the trees in photoshop, and you can't tell the difference.
This is a picture of my mini studio that I made out poster board, paper, and a couple of text books. All of my images with white backgrounds where taken with this setup. I also used the blocks to set my camera on and support the poster board. Just a behind the scenes thing that I thought I would include.
